As Montessori educators, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with children and their families here at Peace. By way of introduction I would like to take this time to share a bit of about myself with you..
Carrie: I decided to pursue a career in Montessori education after searching for an optimal setting for my son’s education. With my 20 years of experience both in the classroom and as an administrator, I am a strong advocate for all of our students and our students requiring additional support. Drawing on my experiences as a parent, teacher, administrator and the founder of a Montessori school, I feel that I bring much to the table on behalf of our students.
I work to focus on this most important time in every child’s life, as it is the foundation from which the rest of life experiences will grow. I believe that the Montessori approach offers so much to these young members of society that will help them to become engaged and enthusiastic about their experiences.
My goal for each and every child is that, beyond supporting the academic, physical and emotional development that is necessary for success, I want to instill a joy of learning that will affect their experiences well beyond their first years. What I want most for our children is that they will become passionate about their own learning, have the tools and skills necessary to pursue educational experiences as they grow and develop, and that they will be accepted for who they are.
If you are a parent who is not yet a member of the Peace Community, let me take this opportunity to invite you to observe a Montessori classroom in action. Please come and see the beauty of our facilities and our 11.5 acre outdoor environment, as well as the buzz of active engagement going on in our classrooms. First hand observation is the best way to know for sure that our school is the right match for your child and family!
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet with you and your child as we embark on their journey together.
